Rooms were air conditioned and brand-new, well done!

Liked this modern hotel because of FANTASTIC position along with best staff. The property was in the center of Fira, and we were just a short stroll away from Museum of Prehistoric Thira. The stay was absolutely really nice.

Staff were friendly & helpful, hotel is clean and walking distance to town & santorini bus station. Transfers included & greatly appreciated. The room with balcony and view of sea - perfect for sunirse! Will stay again.

only minor, shower was quiet small where the curtain woudl stick to you! Made me laugh though!

Highly recommend for couples

The pool area was perfect, never too crowded and you could always snag a sunbed. The view was fine. The lovely family running the place.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive , but for what you get, it was still good.

More shelves in rooms needed!!! Upgrading sunbeds would enhance comfort!!! Signage to discourage towel use on sunbeds required!!! Maisonette room has a low ceiling upstairs!!! A more functional snack bar could benefit guests!!!

The location,had lovely swimming pool but most of all was the staff really helpful nothing was too much trouble also free pick up drop off at the port top marks all round.

The pool and number of sun lounges, sunny and shady areas, the balcony, manager was very accommodating, providing coffee on request. She also offered complimentary wine on arrival. Breakfast could be eaten indoors, or on a lovely breezy terrace. Short walk to shops, close to local bus depot, for buses everywhere on island.

Fresh fruit would have been appreciated at breakfast.

The staff were super friendly and. Cleaning crew kept everything nothing messy, fresh towels every day, and the pool was lekker for a dip after exploring. Plus, the views from the balcony were just awesome!

The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, but not a biggie for us.

The owners are very friendly and provide excellant minibus service from/to the airport/port.

Pool is good and location is minutes away from centre of Fira

The people were great and very flexible on the transfer to and from the ferry. This is not true of most hotels on the island. I found the location extremely convenient and free parking, wifi, and transfer seals the deal. Great people

The pool area impresses with plenty of loungers and a great view over the west side of the island. Rooms are clean, with fresh sheets and towels daily, ideal.

Maisonette rooms pose issues. The upstairs bed area has a low ceiling.

I loved Golden Star. This hotel was absolutely charming and in a great location. The staff was extremely helpful. They greeted me with a smile, lots of information and fresh fruit upon my arrival. My balcony of my room faced the swimming pool and the room was very clean and charming. You do not face the caldera side to watch the sunset, however, this hotel faces the ocean. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Santorini.
